The Trampoline at Rock Bottom

Talk about a “note to self.”

I was feeling down yesterday and going back thru a journal when I found this little nugget that I had forgotten.

Rock bottom happens often and in more ways than are definable. You can hit rock bottom on a project; a job; searching for a job; a sport; any number of life events. It’s said when you hit rock bottom there is no where to go but up and while I find that true, it can be slow if you are climbing out.

Metaphorically this is a better image but in practicality it means not taking it slow and easy and climbing back out but rather putting full effort into the process of taking the next steps, regrouping and forcing yourself to shake it off.

Nothing will be accomplished if you don’t have the trampoline and you just crash on the rocks and lay there like a slug.

Scream, vent, talk to friends, get mad at the situtation, express your pisstivity, but most of all MOVE!

It’s easier said than done but can be done. Do it.

Bounce.
